What is "The Point"?

Do you check my credit?

At The Point, we never check your credit. All we ask for is five (5) references that we can easily verify.

Will renting from The Point help build my credit?

We do not report to the credit bureaus, therefore it will not build your credit. You can however use The Point as a credit reference.

What do I need to rent from The Point?

You need four things to rent from us. First, you must have a valid picture ID, a verifiable source of income, five verifiable references, and a down payment (based on income status).

Will you check my references?

Yes. We will check all of your references before we deliver the merchandise.

Do you deliver?

Yes. We do deliver to a limited area. Rent to own customers are required to have their merchandise delivered. Cash customers may have to pay a small fee for delivery. Please check with your closest store to make sure we deliver to your area.

Do I have to have the merchandise delivered, or can I take it home with me?

If you are a rent to own customer, we are required to deliver the merchandise. Cash customers are welcome to take their merchandise home.

When will my payments be due?

Your due date will be based on arrangements we set up when you sign your rental agreement. It may change if you don't make a full payment, so always ask when you make a payment when your next due date will be. Your next due date will be printed on your receipt when you make a payment.

What happens if a payment is late?

We encourage customers to pay on time, but if a payment is late there will be a $5 late fee added to each account that is late the day immediately following your due date. Remember that late accounts are subject to collections. 

Do I have to rent by the month?

No. You may rent weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Whatever is most convenient for you.

Is there any long term commitment?

No. We offer a buyout option. You may also return the merchandise to us at any time on or before your due date and there is no penalty. 

Are there any penalties for returning merchandise early?

No. There are no penalties for returning merchandise on or before your due date. If you want to return merchandise after your due date, you must pay for the days that you want to keep it.

Can I buy out the merchandise early?

Yes. As a matter of fact, you can buyout the merchandise for 50% of the remaining rental balance at the time of your buyout plus any late fees and owed rent.

Do you offer 90 days same as cash?
